We are a community samba group
formed in January 2007 offering workshops in percussion to the people of Birmingham and the West Midlands. Our number consist of members of the community: young or old; black or white; musician or no; our group lives and breathes through ordinary members of society. That means you can get involved, no matter who you are!
What is samba?
To keep it brief: Samba is a powerful and intoxicating rhythm born in the shanty-towns of Brazil. It landed on these shores of the UK in the eighties and has since spread through the nation in the form of over 300-and-counting performing groups, delivering high-powered acoustic dance music at gigs, street busks, and festivals of the UK.
